Are you passionate about combating financial crime and ensuring regulatory compliance? We are seeking a talented Transaction Monitoring and Screening Manager to join this fast growing payments firm in London, and play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining robust processes to detect and prevent financial crime and sanctions breaches. This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office, offering a salary of up to £80k.
Job Overview:
As the Transaction Monitoring Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective transaction monitoring and screening strategies to identify suspicious activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will oversee the compliance operational function and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain transaction monitoring and screening practices as the business grows.Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective transaction monitoring and screening strategies.
Review and enhance transaction monitoring and screening rules to ensure compliance.
Oversee our compliance operational function.
Analyse transactional data and oversee investigations into suspicious activity.
Manage and oversee vendors used for transaction monitoring and screening.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance as the business grows.
Publish reports with action plans to mitigate risk issues.
Assist in developing and implementing AML policies and procedures.
Maintain internal controls for customer identification, sanctions screening, and AML checks.
Conduct AML training and awareness programs for employees.Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree and/or professional certification in financial crime compliance preferred.
Extensive experience (5+ years) in financial crime compliance, preferably within the payments industry or a UK-regulated financial institution.
In-depth knowledge of UK regulatory requirements related to financial crime.
Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills.
Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing innovative solutions.
