Description
Do you have financial crime and AML experience, and are you seeking a new job in London? Twenty84 is helping a London-based international Bank find a full-time Senior Associate Sanctions, and the role comes with a salary of up to £65k plus benefits including bonus up to 20%, generous non-contributory pension, healthcare, and flexi-benefits. The banks offer hybrid working so 2-3 days in the office per week.

 

As a flexible Senior Sanctions Associate, you will work closely with the Associate Director, front-line businesses, compliance, risk and other stakeholders to ensure all sanctions-related compliance tasks are executed in a timely and professional manner, whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.

 

In your first week in this Sanctions Screening and Sanctions Advisory role, you can expect to:



  • Provide advice and guidance to relationship managers in the completion of sanctions-related activities


  • Liaise with global onboarding and AML colleagues to ensure that new sanctions touchpoints are recorded and screened


  • Maintain close contact with Sanctions colleagues globally to ensure common alignment of activities and seamless communication


  • Assess sanctions review submissions, respond to ad-hoc internal sanctions alerts or queries and escalate when necessary


  • Provide sanctions advice


 

To apply for this Sanctions Senior Associate role, you will need relevant, recent knowledge of economic and trade sanctions in a banking setting. You will also require the following:



  • Financial Crime and Risk management experience


  • Sound practical knowledge of AML/CTF/Sanction laws, regulations and requirements gained within a banking environment


  • Dealings with corporate clients


 

In return for your passion and expertise, you will receive an excellent benefits package, including a salary of £55,000 to £65,000.
